Manchester Whitewater Park Pavilion

The design of this new public park structure responds to the City of Manchester's need for an iconic landmark to identify the City's highly acclaimed whitewater park attraction, as well as respond to the City's need for a resilient park structure to be located in a highly flood-prone area. The structure was designed with a butterfly roof design to engage two public zones. The street front zone and the river park zone. The street front side is is marked by five artistic metal panels perforated with an image of the Manchester-Oneida Railroad. The river side of the structure provides cover for the park-goers and also functions as an amphitheater for musical events and performances.
